“Moin” from Hamburg!
Last weekend I was able to meet the group of the first course in Hamburg and discuss with them over the weekend the topics of negotiation strategy and psychological basics. Birgit Hauser has deepened our understanding as mediators towards conflict parties and the analysis of arguments through input on positions vs. interests and needs, the GRASP method and characteristics of different types of negotiation. Franz-Josef Innerhofer gave us an insight into the human brain and thus the psychological foundations that are necessary to maintain the trust of the parties as a mediator and to get to the bottom of the conflict. The theory blocks provided us with further instruments as well as perspectives to deepen the practice of the different phases of mediation. The possibility to change the training group if one is prevented from attending one of the dates is very practical, not only for organisational reasons: Getting to know the group in Hamburg brought further ideas and perspectives. The spectrum of professions and experiences has been expanded. Many thanks for the exciting weekend!
